AquaCare appoints experienced water treatment expert as business development manager

will drive company expansion into water treatment sector

AquaCare Water Hygiene Services has appointed Jon Vinall to develop the company’s water treatment business. As Business Development Manager, Jon brings over 16 years experience in water treatment to AquaCare’s management team.

AquaCare is a leading supplier of water hygiene services and risk assessments to local government, health and education establishments as well as the private sector. In 2008, the company entered the water treatment market and immediately started searching for a development manager to grow the treatment contract business.

“We needed somebody with experience in water hygiene as well as a detailed knowledge of the water treatment market,” notes general manager Jeff Tanner. “Jon has these - and the same hands-on approach as the current management team.”

Jon, an honours graduate in Chemistry, first became involved in water treatment when he joined Houseman in 1992. During his 10 years there Jon worked his way up and joined Airmec as divisional manager, Water Treatment in 2001. From there he joined AquaCare. In addition to growing AquaCare’s water treatment business,

Jon will work from his base in Horsham to expand the company’s water hygiene business into eastern Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey and Kent. He reports into Jeff Tanner at AquaCare’s Christchurch offices.

From initial risk assessment through to cleaning and ongoing treatment, AquaCare provides a total water quality service to help a wide variety of organisations comply with Health and Safety Legionella legislation, particularly Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) L8 for the control of Legionella bacteria in water systems.
